Foodie Review: Yumcha Iced Tea
Who Loves Iced tea? Well, the fabulous YumCha Iced tea very kindly sent over their range of Iced teas together with their No More Tea Bags Liquid Instant Tea.
Yumcha Iced teas were founded by Guy Woodall on a small farm in Leatherhead, Surrey in the 1980s. The range includes, Spiced Plum, Elderflower, Nettle, Moroccan Mint, Earl Grey And Lemon Ceylon. They are priced at around £3.99 each with free shipping if you order 3 or more items from their website. Each bottle of Iced tea makes around 28 glasses, with each glass being approximately 16 calories. (This can change depending on which bottle). So, is perfect for those of us who are keeping an eye on our waistline.
I was very excited to try these Iced teas and thought I would start with Elderflower as the flower is a firm favourite of mine. This has a beautiful, fresh, floral aroma that is a very summery refreshing drink, perfect for summer evenings or days in the sun.
The Sour Plum had a much richer aroma as it contains ingredients such as liquorice, hawthorn, sweet osmanthus flower and ginger. However it is still a very sweet beverage that would be great if you are looking for a more fruity tea.
The Moroccan Mint is a very unique, fresh, exotic tea that emits a wonderful holiday feeling and would be a perfect addition to a mocktail or cocktail!
The Lemon Ceylon is zingy, tangy and very refreshing and is great a way to awaken the senses!
The Nettle Iced tea is a very unusual flavour, but still a winner, with its fragrant aroma and strong notes of nettle. Add a little lemonade or soda water for a bubbly version!
The Earl Grey has a very distinctive collection of ingredients, including orange rind and bergamot, this is a strong iced tea but perfect for those who already love this flavour!
The No More Tea Bags Liquid Instant Tea is a great innovation, just add in a little of the mixture until it coves the base of the tea cup and add hot water! It’s as simple as that, plus the bottle can make up to 20 cups of tea! The Earl Grey is a beautiful blend that it just as good as the Iced version.
Overall, this is a great range of Iced Teas, perfect for the summer, whether it be added to water, lemonade, soda water or even added to create a mocktail or cocktail. Looking forward to seeing any new products that are added to the range!
